Developers work on multiple projects/clients simultaneously (usually 1-3), work with a cross-functional team, and are transparent about time and tasks to help clients understand the progress of their projects. Projects range from greenfield, brownfield, and maintenance/support with a focus on Agile, Cloud, DevOps coaching and execution.

Candidates must LOVE helping people (clients and teammates), solving business problems, and pushing him or herself to continuous improvement.

Essential functions:
Estimation/Scope:
Review the estimates with the Lead Developer, and understand the proposed solution

Practice self-estimates on the tasks and work with mentor and Lead Developer

Be proactive to identify the risks and underlying issues

Architecture:
Follow DragonSpears’ best practices and coding standards in the project

Elicit feedback and request periodic code reviews from Lead Developer

Implement unit tests for both server side and client side code

Verify that all the unit tests are functional and passing

Team Efficiency:
Prioritize tasks based upon the deadlines and context

Demonstrate core values

Achieve billability and utilization targets as warranted by organization goals

Communication:
Report status with proper explanations and solutions when appropriate

Ensure consistency in concepts/terminology discussed with the clients

Ensure that core concepts and processes are documented

Ensure deployment and production documentation is updated

Deployment:
Ensure the assigned sections can be properly deployed

Follow proper deployment practices

QA:
Ensure that the team is prepared for meetings by testing assigned tasks in advance

Create proper test cases

Work with PM and/or Lead Developer to validate UI functionality

Ensure data integrity

Practice maintaining code quality

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday with a flexible core hours policy to accommodate early birds and night owls. We also have the flexibility to work from home when needed.

Travel:
Minimal travel. Typically local.

Required education and experience:
At least 2 years of professional experience.

Additional eligibility requirements:
ASP.Net, C#, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Linq, EF, WebApi, Web Forms or MV* (MVC, MVVM), Javascript, Angular, jquery, HTML, CSS

Preferred:
1 or more Javascript libraries and frameworks, XAML
