National Accounts Manager

Summary and Essential Duties:

Savage Jerky Co. is an innovative jerky company with proven category interruption in retail and an accelerated growth trend in CPG. Savage is seeking a National Accounts Manager to manage and develop the company’s retail sales growth strategy and vision for the Small Format and Retail Grocery channels. This role will be responsible for driving new sales growth through prospect and acquisition of new customers and identifying and developing new sales growth opportunities within existing customers. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience in CPG sales and key account management, a strong closer with excellent follow up and organizational skills, and a proven track record of top tier performance.

Essential duties:

Identify , solicit, acquire and develop new business growth at the National and Regional levels with a focus on small format and grocery channels.

Manage and develop broker relationships to drive new sales growth as part of the company’s overall retail sales strategy and sales growth goals.

Manage, strengthen and develop existing customer relationships and identify growth opportunities to increase ACV.

Continuously develop and improve marketing materials to be used in the customer acquisition process, and to represent the company in all retail sales events and functions such as trade shows and trade events.

Assist in the sales forecasting and budget development process related to your assigned territory or trade channel as a part of the company’s overall sales and marketing strategy and vision.

Develop and maintain a customer relationship management database and provide sales reports and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years in related experience

Minimum 3 years in CPG sales role and/or key account management role

Ability to perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction

Effective at both strategic and tactical planning, with an ability to think and react quickly in a fast-paced environment

Must be flexible and willing to meet demands of the job such as travel, working evenings and weekends, as required

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing a plus

Compensation:

Competitive Base Salary and Bonus Structure

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
