POSITION SUMMARY

The National Account Manager is capable of conducting productive marketing conversations with every level of sophistication in client, be it a product producer, a Marketing Officer and or a CEO of a client making a product or service that appeals to our audience. Our National Account Managers are just as well versed and well researched on the products and services of clients they pursue. Having current knowledge of digital, broadcast, streaming audio media and of marketing and media trends is a plus in this position. We look for individuals who have the desire to succeed in a competitive environment and improve their economic standing while representing the company values and caring for our client’s success.

This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Sales.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Close new business and grow revenue in the Digital, TV, and Radio space
  • Grow geo-targeted email revenue across major markets in the US
  • Identify, qualify, call on and establish long-term business relationships with national accounts
  • Present the value of TheBlaze audience and make campaign recommendations
  • Work collaboratively in a consultative role with advertising decision makers to identify needs that maximize client ROI and growth efforts
  • Consistently maintain and grow a sales pipeline of well qualified revenue opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with sales and support personnel throughout organization
  • Utilize company CRM tool to track all sales activities and communications
  • Accountable for new business, account management and weekly activity standards
  • Manage and maintain sales reports, pipelines and forecasts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a national account manager
  • Solid experience in sales and customer service
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating and meeting clients requirements
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Availability to travel as needed

EDUCATION

College degree and/or equivalent, relevant work experience
