Member of the Research Staff to drive research into new manufacturing processes for battery electrodes

About the Job

The Advancement Manufacturing and Deposition Systems group within the Hardware System Laboratory is looking for quality candidate to drive research into new manufacturing processes for battery electrodes. The ideal candidate will have a history developing new techniques for battery manufacturing and the ability to drive new research directions. PARC has a significant portfolio of innovative battery manufacturing technology and wants to continue to develop and explore new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • PhD in mechanical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, or another relevant field
  • Experience with printing processing, slot coating, roll-to-roll processing, or screen printing
  • Background in battery chemistry
  • Strong publication record
  • Research

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to direct research projects
  • Track record of successful project execution
  • Knowledge of fluid mechanics, mechanics, and fluid rheology
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
