Medical Receptionist/Call Center

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answer multi line phone system and direct calls
  • Schedule office and procedure appointments
  • Scan paper charts into electronic medical record system (EMR)
  • Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with physicians, supervisors, staff and patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service
  • Utilize formal channels of communication to report concerns, personal requests and patient issues
  • Respect patients’ rights to privacy and confidentiality
  • Maintain an orderly and professional work atmosphere
  • Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress and appearance policy
  • Adhere to guidelines concerning work hours and break periods
  • Manage time effectively to complete all patient treatments and related activities as assigned
  • Maintain professional standards and procedures ensuring compliance with corporate policies and with applicable regulations
  • Take all necessary precautions to protect divisional assets and property loss or waste through negligence or dishonesty
  • Demonstrate support to others by offering assistance
  • Assist in the solution of a problem as directed by supervisor
  • Perform related work as required.

  • Good knowledge of Medical Insurance plan
  • Should be able to work in both a team and individual environment

  • Computer skills

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required

Certifications/Licenses: None

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Working knowledge of the following:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee works in an office environment and is exposed to a computer monitor daily. Before and after hour meetings are required. Some travel is required; the employee may travel by automobile and is exposed to the changing weather conditions.
