Mechanical Engineer

This role will see you collaborate with designers and electronic engineers in a team environment providing improvement solutions and new designs for pipeline inspection tools. A working knowledge of material properties and proficient in AutoCAD/Autodesk or similar is expected. Responsibilities include design, develop, integration, testing validation and expansion of new product solutions. A working knowledge of machining principles would be an asset.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Generate engineering documentation for mechanical systems, including component design requirements and specifications, design review and test plans/conformity assessments.
• Enhancing mechanical design on existing In-Line Inspection vehicles and working on new product mechanical designs.
• Develop cost effective designs that meet functionality, durability and technical requirements.
• Support Operational mechanical tool design modifications for special projects.

Qualifications / Requirements

• P.Eng Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 6 years relevant experience.
• Previous ILI tool design experience would be an asset.
• Experience with dealing with outside vendors and fabrication process.
• Excellent organizational, communication, project management and team work skills.
