Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Turner Building Science & Design, LLC in Harrison, Maine is looking for a talented Mechanical Designer/Drafter with experience in HVAC drafting for commercial and/or industrial buildings. Ideal candidate would also have interest and experience in building science including: moisture, energy modeling, indoor air quality, and life cycle analysis. The candidate must possess the ability to work well in a team-oriented, multi-disciplined, small office environment, while meeting tight schedule and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities will include working with engineers to create construction drawings, field work assisting on HVAC testing for commissioning, building envelope testing, and indoor air quality testing.

Education: Minimum requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, strong AutoCAD® skills, Microsoft Excel®, and Microsoft Word®. Experience with REVIT® or other 3D modeling is a plus.

Experience: Ideal candidate has 2-5 years related experience. Preference will be given to individuals who have design experience demonstrating a range of mechanical projects and materials.
