Materials Hardware Internship Summer 2018

The Marc Jacobs Hardware Team supports Design with all metal, plastic, and electronic developments. The individual chosen will help provide the business with the most up to date information on hardware ETAs, price, and status for market samples and bulk production.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Updating the database system with hardware images, prices, and development status
• Organizing and labeling hardware reference materials for Design’s use
• Researching and developing hardware for inspiration
• Creating boards for presentations to Design
• Attending and recording Design/ Hardware meetings:

• Understanding the hardware development process from conception to production
• Managing multiple projects and communicate status on a daily basis
• Conducting in-depth research on new emerging technology including 3D printing
• Organizing materials for presentations

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the time of the internship
• Must have valid US work authorization at the time of the internship
• Available minimum 3 days per week
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Illustrator strongly preferred; Rhino experience is a plus
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to work autonomously
• High energy and inquisitive
