Material Engineer

Material Engineer

EssentialDuties & Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the project specific onsite logistics plan.

Responsible for receiving onsite material deliveries, staging and/or stocking and fulfillment of materials delivered.

Report & manage delivery defects, overages, etc.

Monitor onsite consumption of materials and report re-order points.

Manage onsite inventory.

Works in conjunction with Superintendent and Project Manager to understand and help manage project specific schedules.

Responsible for daily schedule adherence to ensure accuracy of material deliveries.

Ability to communicate effectively with field and office teams in a timely fashion.

Responsible to be the feedback loop via real-time communication from field to office.

Communicate Katerra’s vision of ‘Just-in-time’ delivery to field team.

Coordinate with onsite team to achieve Katerra’s goal of just-in-time delivery.

Reviews blueprints, takeoffs and materials playbook to accurately determine amount of materials needed.

Comfortable with technology.

Understanding and ability to quickly learn and adapt.

Familiar with a variety of the fields concepts, practices and procedures.

Performs a variety of tasks.

Able to lead and direct the work of others.

A wide degree of creativity is expected.

Continually look for more efficient ways to operate.

Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals

Required Skills & Experiences

Requires heavy lifting/moving of materials, pallets, etc.

Required to become certified operator (fork lift, CDL, etc.)

Positions available in Seattle, WA, Spokane, WA, Sacramento, CA, and Phoenix, AZ.

50% travel required for Phoenix location. Desired Skills & Experience

Field experience is a plus
