Marketing Representative

Insomnia Cookies is a rapidly expanding late-night bakery concept with offices in both New York and Philadelphia. Founded in a college dorm room in 2003 at the University of Pennsylvania, by then student, Seth Berkowitz, Insomnia Cookies has been feeding the insatiable hunger of its fans ever since. The company specializes in delivering warm, delicious cookies right to the doors of individuals and companies alike – until 3am. Whether you’re feeding a craving or a crowd, Insomnia Cookies’ offerings of cookies, brownies, cookie cakes, ice-cream and even cold milk, has you covered.

As a City Marketing Representative you will plan samplings and drop offs to brighten cookie-lovers days’ when they least expect it. You will also help table at various events throughout the city. You will gain real world marketing experience and you will get paid! For real! #signmeup

Requirements

• Loves Insomnia Cookies
• Preferably Marketing, Communications, PR or Advertising Major (current undergrads or post-grads)
• Outgoing and creative personality
• Self-motivated
• Familiar with at least one Insomnia Cookies location and the surrounding area
• Access to personal computer with high speed internet & smartphone with camera
• 1 – 2 shifts(sampling, event or business drops) each week
• Recap weekly efforts to your Marketing Manager
• Complete localized programming requirements
• Participate in bi-monthly catch up calls with Marketing Manager
• Source local events and relay to Insomnia Cookies Marketing

Responsibilities

• Excite people and portray positive image of Insomnia Cookies brand in the neighborhood
• Become knowledgeable about Insomnia Cookies brand and products
• Source appropriate fundraising and charity opportunities
• Complete 2 -3 activities a week:

EVENTS: Source local events, festivals, sporting events, etc.; and help in tabling/staffing the event.

SAMPLINGS: near the store, transportation hubs or other large gatherings in the area of the store – at least one must be completed each week.

BUSINESS DROPS: Drop off cookies to local businesses and organizations to help grow our local business.

DISTRIBUTING MARKETING COLLATERAL: throughout the neighborhood (apartments, hotels, etc)
