Job Title: Marketing Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Communications

POSITION SUMMARY:
Marketing Manager will take a leadership role in developing and executing the YMCA of Central Kentucky’s marketing strategy. Specifically these functions include creating and executing campaigns, management of digital channels such as web and social media, as well as graphic design needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The incumbent must have the competencies, skills and proven leadership ability to successfully carry out the Association’s mission, goals and vision for serving the community. Other important competencies of the Marketing Manager include the following:

Help create and implement marketing and communications programs to promote the Y brand.

Develop, implement, and maintain content that supports YMCA of Central Kentucky marketing and communications strategy across digital channels including web, social media, mobile, electronic newsletters, print ads, brochures, etc.

Lead all graphic design efforts.

Serve as content manager for all digital channels.

Enforce brand marketing guidelines in trademarks, logos, and publications to ensure uniformity and consistency of brand.

Identify emerging marketing channels and provide strategic recommendations for implementation and oversight.

Assist with implementation of media planning and purchasing.

Evaluate social media opportunities to support the marketing and communications strategies that promote the cause of the YMCA of Central Kentucky.

Use digital analytics, business intelligence strategy, and implementation to drive strategy.

Support strategic planning and decision making for marketing and communications outreach.

Participates in establishing policies and procedures related to website, intranet, and branch content.

Assume all other responsibilities as deemed necessary or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field is required.

Five or more relevant experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing and graphic design preferred.

Experience with integration of social media tools and analytics.

Experience with Front-end web development skills, Microsoft Office, and Adobe-creative-suite skills required.

Experience with video and photography.

Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to handle and meet multiple deadlines and possess strong organizational and project management skills.

Exceptional writing and editing skills.

A demonstrated understanding of basic marketing and communications principles.

Experience producing ads, web and other digital content, email campaigns, and press releases.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to diverse audiences.

Good technical understanding and demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly.

Understanding of search engine optimization and keyword research skills.

Experience managing non-personal social media accounts like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Google+, etc. with the ability to communicate in a consistent, on-brand voice.

Experience using social media, mass email and website analytic tools to make informed decision about strategy and direction.

Basic design skills using tools like PowerPoint, Photoshop, iMovie, Illustrator and InDesign.

Basic HMTL experience.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs. Familiarity with Google Apps is a plus.
