The Role:
The Marketing Copywriter will possess a love for writing, understanding of the education market and experience conceiving and writing marketing materials used to generate excitement and sell products.

Working collaboratively with marketing and other departments, candidates will write copy for a spectrum of assets, transforming strategy into lively content designed to engage customers, generate demand and tell the HCI story. Candidates should have experience with writing emails, landing pages, web content, banners, blogs, video scripts, collateral and more—all while properly applying brand voice and content guidelines.

The Marketing Copywriter will have experience communicating with both general and student audiences. He or she will further have a comprehensive understanding of the right tone and voice to credibly represent HCI as a leading global provider of educational technology, content and services for the health and wellness market.

Responsibilities:
Create clear, engaging and consistent content for a variety of marketing campaigns designed to cultivate customer relationships and generate revenue

Ensure grammatical accuracy, message clarity and a consistent style and voice throughout all content

Write copy for all channels and formats including: emails, landing pages, websites, blogs, flyers, presentations, social media, reports, surveys, events and direct mail

Proofread copy and review page layouts with a keen attention to detail

Collaborate with the creative team about layout and design to effectively convey brand spirit and a unique customer value

Conceive and produce effective marketing campaigns, aligned with corporate brand guidelines

Adopt the style, tone and voice for different campaigns and audiences

Write on unfamiliar topics as needed

Work independently and manage simultaneous projects with many moving parts

Listen well when engaging with stakeholders and incorporate feedback to meet goals while remaining consistent with the company brand

Upload content to corporate systems as needed, including our website

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, journalism or related discipline

4+ years of professional writing experience

4+ years of experience creating marketing assets

Possess exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills

Execute with a sense of urgency and a strong attention to detail

Communicate well and with confidence

Multitask to meet deadlines, without breaking a sweat

Demonstrate patience, flexibility and a willingness to take on new projects as assigned

Work well independently and with minimal supervision

Collaborate well in teams while maintaining ownership and accountability for one’s own work

Have proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and enjoy technology, including cloud collaboration tools, web content management systems, social media platforms and digital asset management systems

Be a fearless champion for the written word
