Marketing Coordinator, Wake Forest Innovations Marketing & Communications. Full-time day shift, 40 hours per week. Infrequent night and weekend event coverage

Job Summary: Under the direction of the Director, Marketing & Communications, this position is responsible for ensuring visibility of Wake Forest Innovations and Wake Forest Innovation Quarter among target audiences and effectiveness of marketing/communications efforts. Works with internal and external stakeholders and partners to develop creative materials, digital and print content and marketing campaigns in a timely and professional manner.

Education/Experience: BA, preferably in Marketing/Communications or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing/communications with established organizations.

Essential Functions:
Works directly with Director, Marketing & Communications to help execute marketing and communications campaigns, including print, social media, media relations and digital strategy.

Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the Wake Forest Innovations and Wake Forest Innovation Quarter brands, target audiences, communications channels and strategies.

Helps manage projects with Creative Communications and external vendors to develop meaningful and compelling branded content such as posters, signage, PowerPoint presentations and other print and digital collateral.

Develops written content, including blog posts, general web copy, press releases, social media and email marketing content and other copy when needed and appropriate.

Develops media relations deliverables when appropriate, including media lists, press releases, etc.

Develops written content and manages project timelines for event marketing.

Attends events when requested to develop coverage materials such as social media content, etc.

Helps develop project timelines and tracks deadlines and deliverables for Marketing & Communications team members. Works with Marketing Manager to help team adhere to campaign timelines.

Recommends improvements to marketing and communications campaigns based on external feedback and internal metrics.

Exhibits and promotes the professional image in accordance with Medical Center, Wake Forest Innovations and team philosophies.

Stays abreast of latest developments and advances in marketing/communications and digital strategy and communicates to team.

Maintains professional development, identifying learning needs and attending training courses when appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent communications skills, able to communicate professionally with colleagues, vendors, etc.Proficient in Microsoft programs including Outlook, Excel and Power Point; Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite preferred
