Marketing Communications Coordinator

This position supports the marketing efforts of University School to include updating University School website, Social Media pages, online calendars. Additionally, it includes assisting the Marketing department with events, writing copy, creating ads, distributing materials, taking pictures, creating newsletters, etc.

Essential Job Functions:
1. Assist the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, in coordinating various integrated communication and marketing activities to ensure efficient operations.

2. Writing and maintaining content and providing updates to University School website to ensure information is communicated clearly and accurately.

3. Assist in executing a wide variety of details that involve direct mail, email broadcast campaigns, outbound calls, school shows and events, public relations, customer communications, media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing plans to ensure that marketing materials are accurate and provided in a timely and efficient manner.

4. Monitor online blogs for tracking communications related to University School, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

5. Provide assistance in terms of logistics to events like Open Houses, Campus Visits, and other events.

6. Serve as liaison between internal University School departments and NSU Office of Information & Innovation Technology for web updates.

7. Assist in preparing press releases, University School newsletter and event announcements.

8. Create promotional videos and other media for admissions and marketing purposes.

9. Work with individual division departments to compose grade-level newsletters for parents.

10. Develop and manage promotional materials, presentations, flyers, and posters for various school events and activities.

11. Create and maintain program and/or project archives and files.

12. Perform other duties assigned by the Associate Director or Associate Head of External Relations.

Marginal Job Functions:
Provide administrative aid for various projects related to marketing, which includes project meetings schedule, minutes of meetings, transcribe notes and compose memos.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to understand new technologies and apply them to marketing principles.

2. Ability to have a flexible schedule and work nights and/or weekends.

3. Ability to orally communicate effectively with others without the use of an interpreter.

4. Knowledge of marketing principles.

5. Proficient in numerous software applications including Microsoft Office, Apple programs, video-editing programs, email, and more.

6. Excellent copyright skills and able to rework technical aspects of projects for a broad range of audience.

7. Capable of writing reports, procedures and business correspondence.

8. Ability to work individually and self-driven projects and also a good team player.

9. Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time appropriately.

10. Ability to work under stress to meet project deadlines.
