Marketing Associate

As a marketing associate, you will be responsible for creating detailed marketing strategies to attract senior level delegates in the defense, government and homeland security industry to attend important two day forums and conferences.We are looking for the right people to join our expanding and growing team. The right candidate will be self-motivated, have natural teamwork abilities, and be career-oriented.

In this position, you will be working on 2-3 marketing campaigns at once. Therefore, the right candidate will also thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Full life cycle marketing campaign development and execution for each events (conferences) in your portfolio, including creation of multiple email templates per event
• Strong marketing copy writing and editing skills
• Formulating original content in event advertising (Emails, Press Releases, Online Postings)
• Engage with overall corporate social media strategy (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) to promote events and our charity work
• Establish and maintain B2B and B2C customer relationships with media partners
• Ability to work with a fast paced team in a cross-functional environment to drive revenue from services
• Stay on top of changes in the marketing environment to best serve the objective of the event and adjusting plans accordingly
• Manage and develop marketing promotions and materials
• Experience with WordPress is a strong plus
• Experience with Data Analytics: Google ad words (planner & trends), Google analytics is a plus
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher a plus

Qualifications:

• At least one year of work experience in a related field
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Ability to travel 2-4 times a year

Compensation: $47,000 to $55,000 Annually (plus commission), comprehensive benefits
