Marketing Assistant/Community Outreach Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist the Marketing Director with outreach and community involvement such as events, health fairs, community meetings. Assist with referral visits to providers in keeping them up to date on services, programs, and accomplishments of HCHI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Performs face-to-face meetings of referrals from physicians, hospitals, other health care providers as assigned or directed. Summarizes the meetings and performs follow up.
  • Assist with developing marketing strategy based on knowledge of Facility services.
  • Monitor and analyze promotion results to determine cost effectiveness of marketing campaigns, makes suggestions and plans to effectuate findings.
  • May serve as a spokesperson for the Facility with regard to public releases.
  • Manage current business relationships between referral sources and the hospital to assure the delivery of quality behavioral health care to patients.
  • Assist in solving issues, problems, or complaints made by referral sources.
  • Seek and obtain new opportunities for hospital development (including referral sources, community organizations, and potential donors.)
  • Under the direction of the Marketing Director, assist in fundraising projects.
  • Assist the Marketing Director in attending community meetings, scheduling appointments, attending health fairs and events, and reporting updates/feedback.
  • Assist with social media/website input.
  • Meet all staff development requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in advertising, business administration, business management or related field

    Previous related and relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education.

    Experience in sales or advertising, preferably with mental health programs

    Possession of valid drivers’ license and reliable transportation

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret instructions as well as follow procedures

    Ability to write reports and communicate effectively with a variety of audiences in the public

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in both written and oral form

    Other Skills:

    Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function.

    The employee will spend time driving to and from appointments, sitting for extended periods of time. The employee will be exposed to environmental elements during the course of any particular workday, moving from inside to outside and return. The normal work environment is that of an office environment.
