The department of University Recreation exists under the College of Education and Health Professions to engage and enhance the University of Arkansas community through diverse recreational, social and wellness opportunities. As a result, the University Recreation department performs a vital role in the recruitment, retention, and education of students and personnel.

Summary of Job Duties

The Marketing Assistant – Graphic Designer will be responsible for:

  • Brainstorming and creating visual concepts and designs for each program area as assigned in a timely manner
  • Maintaining the technical skills required to use design software programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to execute design ideas
  • Working with individual program area directors to complete the final product by scheduled deadline
  • Executing designs that comply with the University of Arkansas and UREC branding and style guidelines
  • Managing database of design requests and keep detailed record of completed projects
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Current student at the University of Arkansas
  • Proficient in use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
