Marketing Assistant

Day’s Jewelers is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our marketing team who is willing to work hard and grow with the company. The Marketing Assistant will help to develop and coordinate all marketing department initiatives and aid in the clerical and administrative duties within the department. The Marketing Assistant will report directly to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish clerical duties as assigned by the Marketing Director.
• Publish agenda, take minutes, and distribute minutes for marketing meetings.
• Manage Day’s Co-Op Advertising Program.
• Coordinate and schedule marketing projects.
• Coordinate and attend in-store and community events.
• Create and distribute content for press releases, blogs, social media and company newsletters.
• Create and maintain marketing department forms.
• Assist in the installation of in-store displays, including show windows and signs.
• Establish and maintain regular communication with the stores.
• Distribute marketing materials to the stores.

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or related field
• 2+ years of experience in marketing or related field
• Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Creative
• Event planning experience
• Experience maintaining social networks
