Marketing Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Marketing and Business Development team in the Buffalo office who administers and serves as the internal and external point of contact in connection with the firm’s charitable giving, community activities, business sponsorships and trade show participation. He/she handles administration, scheduling and attorney inquiries associated with the utilization of company boxes at sporting events and serves in an administrative logistical support capacity to the marketing team, and as a liaison to attorneys.

You will be responsible for the administration and processing of charitable requests under the mentorship of the members of the firm’s charitable committee. You will provide administrative support in connection with regular meetings of the committee, preparation of the annual budget for charitable donations and community sponsorships, processing of disbursements requests for charitable items and maintenance of department records. You will serve in an internal service capacity as the liaison between attorneys and outside organizations to fulfill on all marketing benefits related to events and will lead the timely delivery of materials, signage and promotional materials, improving exposure and business development opportunities on behalf of the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree in business-related subject area; Bachelor degree preferred;
  • Three years’ experience in a professional office environment;
  • Experience working on a marketing team;
  • Competent in the full range of computer software related to the position including relevant databases, MSOffice suite;
  • Customer focused, able to demonstrate specific instances of excellent client service, including identifying and anticipating needs, delivering to expectations and follow through;
  • Demonstrates a strong attention to detail, and a facility for spotting and correcting errors in text or number sequences. Demonstrates dedication to producing work that is accurate the first time;
  • Strong organizational skills that permeate all aspects of work from organizing the physical work space, to filing, to time and deadline management;
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, coupled with excellent listening skills. Able to adjust communication style in order to effectively convince or persuade others at any level of the organization.
