Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Report to: Director of Operations

Travel: Less than 15%

Summary:

The Engineer, based in Dallas, reports to Manufacturing Operations. The Engineer is responsibility for writing manufacturing specifications, process development, equipment selection and specifications and technical support.

Responsibilities:

Manage goals, tasks and schedules as it relates to manufacturing. Work with internal and external resources to complete projects. Prepare reports for financial justifications and authorization and effectively communicate the results to management. Develop and implement cost saving initiatives to reduce standard costs.

Process Development

Design, coordinate fabrication, and test pilot or mockup processes for proof of concept work. Complete process development and testing through the use of a systematic process. Complete product or subassembly testing in support of process or product development. Introduce new, validated processes to support Product Development R&D and Operations.

Technical Support

Provide technical support for Product Development, R&D, and Operations. Possess and frequently employ technical competence to deliver business results. Complete, both quickly and accurately, process layouts, detailed drawings, or schematics as needed.

Business Acumen

Develop a familiarity with accounting principles, capital and expense planning, cost center reporting, and other tools to understand project performance.

Qualifications

• Academic/Credentials/Certifications
• BS Mech Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent required
• Length of experience, three to five years

Specialized skills/technical knowledge

• CAD
• Basic PC and MS Office proficiency
• Project management experience preferred
• Machine design experience preferred

Salary: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 /year
