You will provide technical support for all manufacturingfunctions.Youhave a demonstratedability to work efficiently and within budget on manufacturing jobs.This role coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products through the development of build plans and design for manufacturing methods.YourResponsibilitiesSupport production by troubleshooting product problems involving design, materials orprocesses, and optimizing plant manufacturingprocessesEnsure configuration records of released product are maintained according to part masterand purchase order requirementsDetermine root cause failures using statistical methods and recommend changes asappropriateContinuously improve product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce production downtimeInvestigate and find resolution of specific processing problems for assignedprojectsSupport multiple individuals and team projects while handling multipletasksFunction as project leader whenassignedDocument and communicate manufacturing capabilities, build plans/router sheets, floor plans, project schedules, projectstatus, changes, and other information to managers, engineers, andsupervisorEnsure process validation, including final product specification and release testing qualification are determined during the design processReview designs for manufacturability orcompleteness by contributing to project design and product care teamsApply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process through design transfer and development of the build planCreate processes and procedures to help the company meet budgetary goals as well as performance quotasDesign and develop new products and product mock-ups alongside the Engineering teamDevelops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.Maintains product and process data base by writing computer programs; entering data.Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Organizes operation start-up and shut-down schedules to ensure minimum loss of production time and profits;Liaising with the research and development department to ensure the company is at the forefront of ground-breaking technologyPerforms research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.Designs, develops, tests and/or sources various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods with cost justification.Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.YourQualificationsLow volume manufacturing and automation experiencepreferredUnderstanding of the design of manufacturing equipment or other machine toolspreferredSolid understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturingprocesses.Experience leading Lean manufacturingeffortsAble to identify alternative methods to check and verifysolutionsInnovative thinker with excellent problem solvingskillsDemonstrated decision making and effective team skills, able to work independentlyor collaboratively asneededStrong organizational and interpersonalskillsAble to motivate others and create a climate in which others want to do theirbestFlexible and comfortable with change managementconceptsExcellent oral and written communication skills;
