MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Davis Tool, a long established and reputable Hillsboro, Oregon manufacturer, is looking to expand their Manufacturing Engineering department and currently has an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer. Manufacturing Engineers are creative and analytical thinkers, problem solvers and designers. The main responsibility of a Manufacturing Engineer is to create, document, develop, implement and improve processes and procedures required to manufacture, assemble and test machined parts and assemblies to meet diverse and challenging customer requirements from a variety of industries.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create manufacturing planning for machined and assembled products including diverse coating and inspection requirements.
• Participate in tooling development.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and improvement of manufacturing processes.

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have 3 years minimum experience using CAD software, preferably Seimens NX. Knowledge of Catia, and/or SolidWorks is a plus.
• Have experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and blue print reading.
• Have strong project management and computer skills including creation of spreadsheets.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Enjoy working in a team environment.
• Have a familiarity with machining processes; includes ‘hands on’ machining experience involving modern multi-axis CNC Machine tools.
• Experience planning and quoting machined parts is desirable.

Education and Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with complex or aerospace machined products an added plus.
