Overview
:

SAP Delivery COE: Primary role for the Michael Kors ERP Implementation

The candidate will be tasked with managing SAP Direct implementations and supporting the implementations performed by our system integrator partners. This will be the primary rule during the 3 to 4 year ERP implementation at Michael Kors.

These responsibilities include:

  • Work with an integrator of SAP and leading business process initiatives and solutioning on the MK side as needed.
  • Manage the relationships between MK management, SAP, and the SI and function as the internal consultant working in MK’s best interest.
  • Audits system integrator project management for transparency and accuracy.
  • Track all financials and burn rates associated with the SAP implementation.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on-time, on-budget, with quality.

The position provides overall leadership for subsequent projects, oversees selection and implementation of the applications and/or services or upgrades to existing on-premises applications, and drives continuous improvement to business processes and business results. The position also assists in coordinating maintenance and enhancement efforts to leverage enterprise resources, knowledge and best practices.

This position ensures the successful transfer of knowledge from the implementation team to the post implementation support organization and to all employees affected by the implementation. The position works closely with business and technical leadership, serving as an expert resource, bringing forth opportunities to leverage ERP initiatives to better the business and influence decisions regarding business process changes.


Business Process Management COE: Secondary Role

The candidate will manage the human and organizational aspects of business processes and their transformation, along with driving the use of improved business process management (BPM) technology, with the aim of creating a process-managed organization to better deliver business outcomes.

The candidate must mature process competencies to help drive the enterprise to achieve and sustain business outcomes. Ideal candidate would be able to teach the Strategic Planning and Global PMO organization best practices regarding Business Process Management to transform the PMO office from a project management organization to an internal consultancy that can drive business change and continually add value to the Global Michael Kors Holdings organization.

SAP Delivery COE Scope of Work:

  • Project | Program manage any direct SAP implementations and enhancement and support the implementations performed by our system integrator partners.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on-time, on-budget, with quality.
  • Provide proactive management, effective control, leadership, financial accountability, and responsibility for the delivery of the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the Business, Finance, FP&A and the PMO to articulate the value proposition of all implementation processes and approaches.
  • Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices.
  • Hold team accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work, leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity, mentoring, and developing team members
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team ensuring members are motivated and developing their skills and experience.
  • Work with key stakeholders as required to optimize the solution and provide input into new product capability requirements driving an improved implementation experience
  • Set and achieve target goals for strategic projects focused on data quality, project efficiency and increase in customer satisfaction
  • Designs processes and workflow that maximize efficiency, maintain high levels of customer experience, and work cross functionally with other departments.
  • Establish and ensure team adherence to established governance model for service delivery
  • Responsible for identifying estimated work effort, resource availability and assumptions as part of the Deal Review process.
  • Other strategic projects and initiatives as needed


Business Process Management COE Scope of Work:

  • Ability to lead the business process improvement (BPI) conversation at the enterprise level between IT and the business, as well as across the business and its external value chain, driving the vision of more agile business operations using a BPM approach, while communicating and translating between different perspectives or views using different vocabulary to match those views.
  • Provide a bridge role between IT and the business, communicating and, indeed, translating between different perspectives or views about business operations using different vocabulary to match those views.
  • Communicate and translate required business process capabilities and outcomes effectively between business process areas and supporting departments (such as the IT organization).
  • Model and enhance business process diagrams and other related models to capture business operations change requirements within defined opportunities or projects, modeling both current and future state, typically using a graphical BPA or business process modeling tool.
  • Ensure proper coordination between the IT organization and process owners by defining conceptual and logical levels of detail in the business process models.
  • Define the needed business cases with project team and process owner, defining business outcomes, including current baseline and future target metrics, such as leading and lagging indicators, and linking to strategic key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Determine and document the impact of process changes for the process owner.


Job Requirements: SAP Delivery COE

  • Strong leader/decision maker (business units/Corporate/IT) who can provide key sponsorship and governance to facilitate and drive change efforts
  • Minimum of 5 years of technology consulting experience in client situations delivering project-based solutions in SAP platform
  • Preferred experience in S/4 Fashion Management solution.
  • Relevant experience in fashion industry and/or retail industry
  • Ability to drive and govern critical stakeholder management processes
  • Blend of business/IT/Program Management skills and experience
  • Strong network of contacts across MK and industry that can be summoned for participation in meetings, workshops and ad-hoc consultations
  • Retail Business-specific skills
  • Extensive experience in cross functional business process design and integration
  • Project lifecycle delivery skills, project management support, methodology, documentation, testing, post-production support and knowledge transfer.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and have demonstrated ability to interact with and advise clients at senior levels win both business and IT settings.
  • Scope to include, but not limited to, the following domain areas:

    • Master Data Management
    • Retail Operational Systems
    • Financial Systems
    • Supply Chain, including operational understanding of warehouse management, distribution and replenishment methods, processes and techniques (not included in scope but strong interdependencies between systems)


Job Requirements: Business Process Management COE

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum; M.B.A. and/or finance skills recommended.
  • Experience delivering solutions using BPM techniques.
  • Strong understanding of different process styles (such as structured/unstructured, case management and decision-oriented) and involvement in multiple process improvement projects focusing on these styles, as well as following different solution delivery life cycles (waterfall and agile)
  • Demonstrated multidisciplinary communications skills across all levels of an organization, but particularly with senior corporate and business-unit executives
  • Certifications in Business Process Management preferred, but not required.
