The role…

Choice Hotels is seeking a Manager, Revenue Management to lead our growing revenue management function. The manager will lead a team of up to 15 Revenue Managers and Revenue Analyst by:

  • Setting performance standards, overseeing development and providing feedback, direction, instruction, and coaching on revenue management strategy.
  • Setting the direction of the workgroup to accomplish the organization’s mission, goals and objectives through motivation, communication, group dynamics and leadership.
  • Developing, distributing, organizing and communicating information, strategies, new programs, and assignments to revenue managers and the hotels they support.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, and developing Revenue Managers and Revenue Analysts.
  • Developing cross-functional links between the revenue management team and other corporate partners to further revenue management team goals and strategies; communicates and markets the revenue management services to other Choice staff as needed.
  • Pursuing enterprise-level revenue management initiatives and manage ongoing enterprise revenue management strategies and programs.
  • Monitoring revenue manager training; secure additional resources for revenue management team as needed.
  • Serving as a contact point for hotels interested in joining ChoiceRM; manage hotel onboarding process from initial contact through handoff to the property revenue manager; manage ongoing program relationship and communication

Skills you have..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience. MBA preferred (or work towards one) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 4 years hotel experience as a Revenue Manager, or Business or Consulting experience focused on revenue analytics
  • Comprehensive understanding of Revenue Management principles and philosophies
  • Thorough understanding of Choice Internet sites, and appropriate Property Management Systems, Choice distribution platforms and strategies, GDS systems.
  • Understanding of industry standard metrics and related reports, Revenue Management tools and reports, Choice Central Management reports, and property management systems and reports.
  • Knowledge of Choice Hotels marketing programs
  • Understanding of statistical and data analysis

2+ years of Choice experience strongly preferred
Supervisory experience required
Able to apply high level critical thinking skills to understand and solve complex problems having multiple complex variables, e.g ability to apply previously observed market performance behaviors to new circumstances for the purpose of testing theories / approaches to revenue management tactics.
Ability to influence decision-makers through presentation of analysis
Ability to make measurable progress on multiple high priorities while also handling the day to day operations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Able to work extended hours
