Job Title: Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

This position is a key contributor to the future success of Carnival Cruise Line by providing a strong professional presence, technical marketing expertise and a business/operational focus for the Finance department. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to partner with the VP, Strategic Planning to provide analytical support for annual budgeting and monthly forecasts, developing pro-forma models for proposed investment projects, and executing other ad hoc analyses related to Marketing finances and investments.

Essential Functions: Analyze current and past trends of financial performance including all areas of revenues, expenses and capital expenditures. In partnership with business leaders, develop and manage monthly financial forecasts for Advertising & Promotion expenses. Develop finance and business presentations and related supporting materials. Develop and deliver effective and timely business analysis and reporting both ad-hoc and at the request of the management team to further support business strategies and operational objectives.

Establish monthly reporting process to keep senior leadership (CMO and CFO) informed regarding the A&P actual spend and forecasted expenses.

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree are preferred with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Marketing. Minimum of 6-10 years’ experience with a strong understanding of marketing operations. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection. Knowledge of overall business strategy and operations including business processes, revenue and cost components and drivers of these measures, profitability and return on investment modelling. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Understanding of Oracle Financial Systems, Hyperion Interactive Reporting and Hyperion Essbase or similar system. Ability to manage multiple projects to completion, coordinate action plans and implement decision strategies. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to garner engagement from business leaders who have historically not been very attentive to their budgets.
