Manager, Digital/Social Marketing

What we’re looking for…
As a Manager, Digital/Social Marketing you will be a driving force in developing and executing core brand strategies in the digital space for Destiny. The ideal candidate will be a clear, confident communicator with deep digital experience at the agency level and a demonstrated ‘data-driven’ focus. The position requires a fair command of the technical aspect of web development (including advertising, apps, mobile, search, online video, social media, etc.). In addition to website development, this person will also drive Social Media strategy and execution for the Destiny franchise. This position is the conduit between brand management, studios, and agencies. The person in this role will have a thought leadership position inside the building as we look to build Activision’s digital and community future.
What you’ll do
  • Oversee and manage online strategy & development for title launches including web development, search, mobile, and social media deployment (e.g.: oversee the brand’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram pages).
  • Manage strategy, content production/ creation, and distribution across our channels and platforms.
  • Drive execution intelligence, insights, and delivery through the use of key analytics. Utilize learnings to inform and support the creative approach and to drive KPI’s across sites and campaigns.
  • Audit online site deployments and deliver optimizations based on insights.
  • Maintain and enforce all elements of ESRB, Legal and Privacy requirements for all online and digital marketing campaigns and websites.
  • Manage relationships, budgets, and timelines with vendors and agencies.
  • Provide support to the international digital marketing teams.
  • Work effectively with internal cross-functional teams including Brand Marketing, IT, PR, etc.
  • Manage external agencies and production teams through design, production and launch.
What you’ll bring
  • 4+ years experience (in an agency or client-side equivalent) as a digital strategist, web producer, or account manager, including experience designing and supporting complex consumer websites and infrastructure, as well as developing go to market strategies.
o 4+ years digital or creative agency account management experience preferred, OR
o 4+ years working as a digital marketer for a well-established brand (ideally an entertainment brand) preferred
  • 4+ years experience in managing creative and technical resources
  • Bachelor degree, Communications, Marketing, Business, or Design Degree Preferred
  • Graduate degree a plus
What you have
  • Passion for gaming and all things tech.
  • Excellent verbal, organizational, programming language and technology skills
  • Experience working with 3rd Party agencies/partners
  • Budget management experience necessary
  • Appetite for all things digital, and social – up on the latest platforms and technologies and desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement.
  • Understanding of brand strategy and ability to write strategic marketing briefs and persuasive POVs.
  • Working knowledge of CMS systems (CQ5) and general understanding of architecture development
  • Experience in managing projects that integrate CMS backend and multimedia elements
  • Experience working with multiple web analytics systems, such as Google Analytics, Epiphany, Radian6, etc.
  • Must be effective in communicating (both written and verbal) with technical development team members, as well as non-technical resources, including management and brand marketing
