Position Summary:
The Manager, Co-brand Portfolio Strategy and Innovation is responsible for developing and executing both short- and long-term strategy for the Delta SkyMiles credit card portfolio. The Manager will be accountable for and measured on her/his ability to define and implement the overall card portfolio strategy. Specific responsibilities include:

Partnering with American Express and Delta stakeholders to manage the strategy for an industry-leading co-brand credit card portfolio.

Developing and executing on a vision and strategy that continues to deliver a highly marketable card portfolio, creates lifelong Card Members, and increases loyalty to Delta and SkyMiles.

Being a thought leader and being proactive in identifying new opportunities to improve the card portfolio for current and future Card Members.

Managing the holistic P&L of the card portfolio, identifying opportunities to grow the top and bottom line.

Managing current and potential new contractual agreements with Amex while working with Delta and Amex Legal teams.

Leading a team of two individual contributors responsible for co-developing portfolio strategy, implementing strategic initiatives, competitive intelligence, insights and analytics, and financial reporting and mentoring team members to build a culture of high performance.

Responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering presentations to senior leaders both inside and outside of Delta.

Position requires minimal travel, typically no more than a few times a year.

Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with major in Business, Finance or Economics, plus minimum 5 years of airline and/or customer marketing experience; or MBA plus minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Proven ability to think strategically, be a thought leader and a change agent, and develop and execute on a vision for continued growth of the business required.

Experience developing an actionable business strategy and successful execution required.

Strong airline or banking experience, financial acumen, data synthesis, and communication skills required. Experience in loyalty programs and partnerships a plus.

Significant understanding of how the card portfolio delivers value to the business and ability to develop the business in a measurable way.

Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently as well as work well in a team environment with a high degree of autonomy and excel under pressure.

Must display a basic knowledge of all facets of Delta Air Lines, the airline industry, and the credit card industry.
