The City of Surprise is seeking a service-centered individual to join our City Manager Office Team as a Management Analyst. A successful candidate will be a community-focused and responsive professional with strong verbal and written communication skills. Other desired skills include administrative and municipal government policy and planning research experience to support our growing city.

SUMMARY
Incumbents are responsible for providing research and complex support to the City Manager, Assistant City Managers and Deputy City Manager. Incumbent works closely with city management and department directors in coordinating activities, special projects and assists with representation of the City’s legislative agendas and governmental partnerships.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and two years of progressively responsible experience working with government officials, including experience in coordinating and administering special projects and programs. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each years of required education. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience
