Machine Learning Intern

Working under the direction of Director of SW Algorithms, this is a SW Engineering internship with an objective of Improving and enhancing software engineering’s existing neural networks for cell counting and fluorescence analysis.

Experience with Machine Learning, Neural Networks for Visual Recognition highly applicable. Experience with TensorFlow and C# and Python programming is a plus

Internship period is between June – September, 2018

Work with our image processing and biology teams to understand shortcomings of existing algorithms and opportunities for new and improved algorithms. Develop new software and tools to implement those algorithms, perform manual and automatic training, develop metrics for performance and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the improvement of our semantic segmentation pipeline used to count an measure cells.

Participate in the maintenance of our testing and training database.

Assist the team in developing new approaches to speed up and improve our image processing algorithms.

Requirements:

Experience developing software (preferably Python and C#)

Experience with a Deep learning stack (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Caffe2)

Working in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

Biomedical Image Processing

Experience with implementation of well-known semantic segmentation networks (U-Net, Tiramisu)
