Logistics Specialist – Claims

Join Ecolab as a Logistics Specialist – Freight Claims and Payment Audit, within our transportation department at our Corporate Headquarters in St. Paul, MN. Under the direction of logistics leadership, and with accuracy, efficiency, and Ecolab’s best interest a priority, the Logistics Specialist is accountable for supporting processes to audit and process freight invoices of transportation services throughout North America and file claims for lost or damaged material. This position will act as an escalation contact between Ecolab AP and transportation providers.

What You Will Do:

• Processes and audits freight invoices.
• Partner with carriers to manage aging reports to resolve open invoices.
• Utilize reporting to identify rate issues and partner with Logistic Analyst to update data in TMS system.
• Perform analysis on freight costing variances to identify inaccurate shipping transactions and/or master data discrepancies. Working independently and in teams to resolve data errors.
• Partner with EDI Analyst if EDI issues are identified with carriers.
• Establishes effective internal and external communications.
• File freight claims.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent
• 2+ years professional work experience
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Access, or the ability to be trained
• No immigration sponsorship available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance or Transportation
• Knowledge of freight payment
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Prior experience using SAP and TMS applications
• Outstanding written communication and attention to detail
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and to work in teams
