POSITION SUMMARY

Individual will be key member of a technology team which has been commissioned to support and maintain technical systems providing scalability, reliability, supportable. Maintain security integrity while adhering to Business and IT performance and budgetary objectives. Provide guidance Best Practices for approved Technologies tools and solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Proficiencies with the installation, integration, tuning, and troubleshooting of mulit-vendor UNIX environments

Working knowledge and experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux, AIX, HP-UX/other platforms a plus

Working knowledge using UNIX performance tools such as sar, top, nmon, vmstat, iostat, etc

Working knowledge and understanding of Networking/Routing, firewalls, load balancer technologies, and other network concepts and appliances

Knowledge and understanding of Web and Middleware technologies is a plus such as Apache, TomCat, Mule, DataPower, XML Appliances, PEGA, Cognos, BroadVision, SOA, J2EE a plus

Detail oriented and experience working in a production environment using Change Control practices, creating and working under technical project plans and timelines

Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

Work as part of a team to meet projects requirements and deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

Functions well in large-scale, complex, cross-functional / platform environment

Ability to share knowledge, in area of expertise

Participate in cross-functional teams that design, develop, & implement systems architecture and supporting infrastructure

Participate in cross-functional work groups to assess business needs, develop a systems architecture strategy, & implementation plans

Implement system architecture strategies

Write documentation describing systems design & architecture, logic and operational processes.

May develop user manuals & operating procedures

Adaptability and willingness to learn QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience

5-8 years’ experience in Information Technology

Problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other Departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions

Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple deadlines

Demonstrate ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines

Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment and make independent decisions

Extremely process and detail oriented

Strong customer service focus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with health care or PBM industry very helpful

Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines

Proficient with Red Hat Linux operating system – RHEL 5.11 to RHEL7.x

Proficient knowledge with VMware virtualization environments

Proficient with IBM AIX operating environments running AIX 5.3, AIX 6.1 and AIX 7.1

Proficient with IBM VIOS operating environments running VIOS 2.2.2.x and IBM Hardware

Familiarity with HPUX a plus

Required understanding of data network and SAN network topologies

Solid individual performance with ability to partner with others

Functions in complex environments with minimal direction

Works well through a self-directed effort

Shares knowledge in area of expertise

Ability to provide technical assistance to resolve unplanned outages / issues

Individual must be able to participate in the development, implementation and communication of the plan to ensure successful delivery of milestones and project is delivered on time and on budget

Work well with key internal and external clients to ensure that business needs are fully understood and limiting or eliminating business impact

Problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other department to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
