Taos is immediately hiring a Linux Engineer for a cutting edge tech company in the Bay Area!

Who you are:

You are a very experienced Linux Systems Engineer who is looking for the next challenge! You love systems and structure. You are a self-starter and you thrive on the ability to identify and resolve complaints and concerns. You are comfortable providing system administration, configuration and troubleshooting in a Linux environment. You are a methodical thinker and you have an analytical mind. You want to work with a company that is very fast-paced.

What you’ll be doing:

• Developing and maintaining Perl and Shell scripts to enhance deployment and monitoring
• Installing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise and Suse Linux employing enterprise cluster applications.
• Using your experience with artifact repository systems to speak to the strengths and weaknesses of each
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, CFengine
• Designing reliable and scalable system architectures at high scale including full instrumentation and monitoring strategy

• Working knowledge of enterprise mass storage systems, storage array networks, and the provisioning of VLUNS to hosts.
• Extensive experience with system administration automation and scripting
• Hands on experience administering network utilities such as Sendmail, Bind, SSH
