Position is contract to hire.

Job Description:
This position requires a candidate with broad technical and business professional skills but this person will primarily be focusing on working with our enterprise clients and sales team to design and deploy solution architectures. A Professional Services Consultant will be expected to position and deliver company marketed solution sets and other custom consulting. The resource will work with the sales team to present solutions to customers’ unique requirements. The resource will architect, propose and implement designs to meet the customer business and technical needs.

Skill sets that may be required include:
In-depth Linux knowledge (i.e. shell scripting, experience with several flavors of Linux, strong knowledge of Linux software/hardware, command line troubleshooting, Linux installation and configuration, etc.

Virtualization – KVM and other Linux based hypervisors, VMware vSphere experience a plus.

Storage / System Administration experience on products such as NetApp (cMode experience, EMC, others

Converged/Hyperconverged – FlexPod, VBLOCK, Nutanix, HPE

Fibre-Channel IP Network design and administration skills: Cisco, Brocade

Backup/Restore: Symantec NetBackup, EMC Networker, CommVault

DR/BC – Array Based Replication, VMware SRM,

Strong knowledge of protocols, including: TCP/IP, NFS, SMTP, SNMP, FTP, HTTP

Strong knowledge of RAID, Fibre Channel, SCSI, DLT

Database knowledge: Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, Sybase, DB2/UDB, NoSQL, etc.

Programming languages: C, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows scripting, etc.

Strong understanding of networking technologies including as many of the following as possible. Not all are

required; TCP/IP, Switching, Routing, gig/10gig Ethernet, VLAN, VLAN trunking, OSPF, iBGP, eBGP, VRRP, HSRP, QoS/TOS, VoIP, and various WAN technologies (MPLS, VPLS, MLPPP, Frame Relay, etc.)

Solid understanding of next generation Network technology: SDN, NFV, etc.

Strong understanding of wireless network and mobility: Cisco, Aruba, Aerohive. 802.11n, 802.11ac. WIPs.

Experience with configuration and implementation of Cisco/Juniper firewall platforms data.

Ability to create QoS models, IP addressing schemes, and VLAN designsrequired.

Understanding of VPN, SSL and Firewall.

Create network topology maps using MS Visio.

Analyze end-to-end TCP/IP protocol trace to identify network connectivity issues is a strong plus.

Ability to develop and communicate vision with our customers, partners and colleagues utilizing strong presentation skills combined with solid technical background.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include planning and administering major portions of the implementation and engineering effort including designing/architecting major components, task management, personnel identification, client deliverables and communication with clients and management. This role requires broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment. The position all requires the ability to scope and write detailed Statements of Work in addition to the following:

Perform storage assessments.

Engage in sales team activities to scope service deliverables.

Deliver on consulting tasks (e.g., installation and configuration of 3rd party applications).

Configure, implement and test backup/restore configuration. Position contract to hire
