Life Cycle Logistics Specialist – Mid/Experienced Level

The National Security Agency is looking for a Life Cycle Logistics Specialist to oversee and perform a wide range of logistics services for the customer, to include assessing situations, interpret polices, and develop and implement solution sets that apply to specific parts of a project life cycle.

Additional responsibilities include:

Plan and implement support activities for the life cycle of Agency deployed systems and/or capabilities by ensuring adequate consideration of all integrated product support elements. These may include policy development, performance of LCL functions, and the monitoring of contractor performance of LCL functions. LCL job functions may include acquisition logistics support management, technical data management, configuration management and other functions in direct support of a system/capability life cycle. The functional category includes management, planning, procurement, integration and fielding of systems and associated support elements and processes during the acquisition process. Duties may include development of LCL plans, preparation of portions of contract packages, conducting Acquisition Logistics Integrated Product Team (ALIPT) meetings, monitoring of Agency and contractor performance related to system supportability, configuration management, and technical data management, participation in preparation of the Acquisition Logistics Support Plan and Deployment Readiness Plan, and coordination with field site/service organizations to ensure adequate support is in place prior to fielding of system.

Oversee and/or perform a wide range of logistics services for the customer; to include assess situations, interpret policies, and develop and implement solution sets that apply to specific parts of a project life cycle.

Advise on or direct the performance of the administration and control for the purchase of materials and services.

Serve as a technical consultant to program and project managers in areas related to logistics functions.

Perform life-cycle property management and storage management.

Perform inventory management methods and implement and document standard procedures, applied to specific capabilities and projects.

Effective use of the Microsoft Office suite of tools.

Licenses/Certifications:

DAWIA Cert may be required

Special Qualifications and Skills:

Degree must be in a logistics-related field (e.g., purchasing, supply chain management, property, cargo, inventory management, transportation).

Leadership of people and/or projects at a significant level of responsibility preferred.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $66,510 – $103,639 (Full Performance)

Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Degree must be in a Business Management Field (e.g., Program Management, Business Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, and Economics) or a Technical Field (e.g., Life Cycle Logistics, Supply Change Management, Engineering, Systems Management, Computer Science, and Information Technology), or include at least 24 semester credit hours in accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial marketing, marketing, quantitative methods, and/or organizational management.

Relevant experience must be in logistics or a related business field (e.g., supply chain management, life cycle logistics, acquisition logistics, and program management). Logistics or related experience in the government or as a government contractor and DAWIA I or equivalent certification is preferred.

Salary Range: $94,796 – $145,629 (Senior)
