Licsensed Surveyor Intern (LSI)

Territorial-Landworks, Inc. seeks a Licensed Surveyor Intern (LSI) in our Missoula, Montana office.

The baseline qualifications for the position include industry experience and an ability to manage clients and survey projects in various stages of development as well as licensure as a Land Survey Intern (LSI) status with 2-4 years’ experience.

Essential Functions:

• Provide guidance to survey crews and other survey staff members
• Management of Staff Surveyors, Technicians, and Crew Members on projects
• Provide Quality Control of work performed through review
• Familiarity with survey technology and skills, including PLSS, GPS principles, etc.
• Ability to manage clients
• Ability to assist with project management, including budgets and schedules
• Knowledgeable in the Montana Subdivision and Platting Act
• Meet the physical challenges of survey field work when necessary
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate motorized vehicles

Additional Responsibilities:

• Ability to work in field and/or office setting.
• Familiarity with survey data collection using GPS and robotic total stations.
• Construction staking, ALTA surveys, plats, deeds, legal descriptions, research, etc.
• Provide training and mentorship for survey staff

Expectations:

• Position is 40+ hours per week of combined office (70%) and field (30%) work.
• Field work will require the ability to walk on uneven terrain for up to 8 hours per day.
• Job location is based in Missoula, Montana, with travel to outlying areas.
