Level 1 Network Technician

General Overview

The technician will be supporting remotely our imaging division troubleshooting print / scan & software issues. This will include managing our remote software platforms for pro-active service (Toshiba Cloud, FM Audit & Kyocera Fleet Manager). This will also include assisting our Managed Network IT division with Level 1 Help desk issues.

Essential Duties:

  • Remote Support of servers, and workstations on client networks.
  • Assist with support of our backup systems and jobs.
  • Troubleshoot wireless networking systems
  • Troubleshoot and maintain firewall configurations and VPN connections.
  • Aid in the design of migration plans for client engagements.

Job Qualifications:

  • MCDST | MCP or equivalent experience
  • A+ / Network + or equivalent experience

Requirements:

  • Respond to, resolve and close end-user IT service requests based on published procedures and policies.
  • Prepare, test, deploy and support Intel based desktop and laptop computers. Including remote support of print driver & scan related issues.
  • Install, configure and test approved licensed software applications.
  • Install, test and support computer peripherals such as laser printers and the device drivers required to access and operate the same.
  • Support remote users using VPN to access corporate network
  • Knowledge in Active Directory, NDS, or LDAP..
  • Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and other networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies (VLANs, WLAN, VPN etc.)
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Strong Aptitude for researching solutions to answers online
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Document support and call history in ticketing system
  • Respond to clients inquiries and request according to the company’s SLA’s
