Laboratory Foreman – Malelane

Job Description
RCL FOODS is seeking a Laboratory Foreman to join our Sugar Division. The role will be based in Malelane and report to the Process Engineer: Laboratory. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to provide direction and supervision to laboratory operations and staff to ensure best laboratory practice, while ensuring compliance with organisational goals and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee day to day laboratory operations and activities. Manage laboratory staff including training and performance evaluation. Compilation and validation of production related reports. Manage laboratory equipment maintenance. Maintain risk management systems. Control expenditure and manage budget.
Minimum Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent qualifications. At least 4 years laboratory management experience, preferably with experience in the Sugar industry. Advanced computer literacy skills (LIMS, SAP, Excel, and Word). Knowledge of safety and quality management systems. Sound report writing and communication skills. Self-driven and naturally motivated person. Good leadership qualities. To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.
