Your impact as a Junior Web Developer

Aon is looking for highly-skilled developer to join a highly motivated and passionate team, working on one of Aon Hewitt’s flagship applications. The ideal candidate will learn to take a requirement through its entire life-cycle, from analysis, architecture and design, to development, testing and implementation. We are a small team of industry professionals with decades of experience in software development. This is a position where you will have a visible impact on the product and its success.

Our application is built on the .net stack, leveraging technologies such as C#, asp.net, Entity Framework 4.5, .net 4.5, VS2015, SQL Server 2012, Oracle 12c and TFS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with other technical and business team members on analysis and requirements
• Designing, developing, testing and supporting .NET applications
• Participating in code reviews to ensure adherence to architecture standards, code consistency and maintainability
• Participating in code deployment
• Providing technical support to internal and external clients

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience (minimum 1-2 yrs) developing with C# and .NET
• Exposure working with Visual Studio 2012/2015
• Exposure with web-based applications (Bootstrap, jquery, Angular framework, web api, json)
• Experience developing applications that use SQL Server 2008 and Oracle 11g
• Practical knowledge of HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web standards

Preferred Experience:

• Developing web services
• Developing with iterative release cycles and development approaches (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
• Design principles (design patterns, OOD -object oriented design)
• Asynchronous messaging and messaging technologies (MSMQ, RabbitMQ)
• Developing with Microsoft Excel and/or Excel addins

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in computer sciences or a related field or equivalent years of industry experience.
