Junior Software Tools Engineer

The Junior Software Tools Engineer will have the opportunity to learn about and work with many different technologies within the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and support programs and scripts in various programming languages. The scripts or programs will be used as the glue software between both Open Source and Commercial software applications.
• Work may also include investigation and evaluation of new application based solutions for use on the project.

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Effective communication, documentation and presentation skills
• Must be able to independently research and implement solutions with minimal guidance
• Programming and/or scripting capabilities in one or more languages such as Python, C#, Perl, Javascript, PowerShell, SQL, etc
• Comfortable in Linux and Windows computing environments
• Must be a team player
• Must have or qualify for a Secret clearance

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with one or more of the following :
• Git
• Selenium
• SharePoint
• SQL Database Administration
• Rational Team Concert
• IDEs
• Open Source tools
