OPPORTUNITY

GENView Analytics collects, analyses and interactively displays all available performance metrics, faults, packet and CDR data produced by GENBAND network elements such as Session Border Controllers (SBCs), Call Controllers and Media Gateways. With a flexible new virtualized and horizontally scalable architecture, GENView Analytics enables service providers with drilldown analysis of their network and meet their QoS and SLAs promised to their customers

We are looking for entry level software developers interested in working with big data technologies, machine learning, cloud computing (NFV), data visualization, data stream and batch processing. A successful candidate must be self-driven, possess a strong work ethic, with a career interest in software development. They must be excited about working with new technologies and comfortable working in a dynamic work environment.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

University graduate (BS or MS) in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science/Systems, Electrical Engineering, Math or equivalent.

Highly motivated, demonstrating a strong work ethic through academic achievement, Co-Op and/or Intern experience.

Programming experience with Java, C, or C++ in a Linux environment is required. JEE development experience is also beneficial. Scripting using a language such as Python, PERL, or Bash is an asset.

Experience with big data and visualization technologies such as Hadoop, Kafka, Elasticsearch are an asset.

Knowledge of NFV and Virtualization technologies and systems like OpenStack, KVM and VMware considered an asset. Knowledge of deployment technologies such as Ansible or Puppet, and familiarity with creation and usage of QCOW2 images is beneficial.

Experience with a development SDE and build environment (such as Eclipse and Maven) is desirable.

Understanding of GUI frameworks such as Spring and Struts, and/or JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS is an asset.

Debugging/analytical skills (memory management, performance, concurrency) considered an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear and comprehensive architectural and design specifications.
