Junior Software Developer

Summary of essential job functions:

• Assist in the development of new features and fixes for software in use by Equinox’s clients
• Assist in the creation of end-user documentation
• Active involvement within the larger Open Source communities surrounding the various software projects Equinox supports, including Koha, Evergreen, and FulfILLment

We are looking for the following qualities in a candidate:

• Strong customer service focus
• Experience with Perl
• Experience with web front-end development, including modern JavaScript and CSS
• Experience with SQL, particularly with PostgreSQL, preferred but not required
• Ability to work well with minimum direction
• Ability to collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders on mission-critical projects
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Familiarity with libraries and library operations preferred but not required
• Some experience with Linux system administration is a plus

Salary: $62,000.00 /year
