Junior QA Engineer

Kraft Analytics Group (KAGR)

The Jr. QA engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Write test plans, scripts and scenarios for testing data feeds, integration (ETL) processes
  • Validate functionality and data in front-end dashboards
  • Create and enhance detailed, comprehensive and well structured test automation suites for regression testing, data model and ETL processes
  • Ensure quality of product implementation based on specifications
  • Own the test activities and planning for product development and implementation
  • Manage defects in JIRA
  • Work with engineering and implementation team to monitor and track metrics to ensure and improve quality of overall delivery.
  • Participate in release processes
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in computer science or related field
  • 1-4 Years of experience in QA methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience in testing data platforms
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python and Ruby a plus
  • Solid understanding of database design principles
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Hands on testing experience with integration of multiple data feeds using ETL tools
  • Good understanding of QA in the delivery of a data warehouse platform
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across all organizational functions

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment
