Junior Mortgage Loan Originator/Mortgage Advisor

Myers Capital celebrates almost two decades as a leading mortgage and financial services company. Located in Downtown Honolulu, we take an all-encompassing approach to solving financing needs. We specialize in providing residential and commercial mortgages, business financing, and real estate advisory services.

We are looking for an energetic, people-oriented applicant to join our team, who is eager to learn more about the mortgage business. Their main focus will be working with prospects who are interested in purchasing a home or refinancing their current mortgage. This person should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and gain a broad experience ranging from marketing and administrative to financial skills. We provide training, and if you choose to work with us, we will assist in the licensing process.

Job Duties

• Assist prospects with initial mortgage inquiries
• Assist intake specialist in preparing clients on the documents they need to bring to their appointment
• Sit in on meetings with prospects, to learn how to help determine the proper loan program and pre-qualify them
• Learn how to complete a loan application
• Learn how to lock loans
• Monitor the loan progress from intake to processing in a timely manner.
• Learn to prepare accurate scenarios for cost estimates
• Compiling, creating and updating contact lists and databases
• Assisting with answering phones and greeting clients when necessary

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong interest in the Mortgage/Real Estate Industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid math and calculation skills
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office and the Internet
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Quick learner
• Motivated
• Provide excellent customer service
• Friendly
