Junior Level Software Developer – ITS2

As a level 2 Software Application Developer, you will assist in the development and implementation of custom developed applications for the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension in the Minnesota Justice Information Services department. Under established guidelines and techniques, you will design and create applications for users of criminal justice information throughout Minnesota. These applications are a critical part of ensuring the safety of all Minnesotans!

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume.

This position requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience implementing and developing object oriented applications.

Experience must include the following:

  • .NET or Java
  • Microsoft SQL Server / T-SQL

A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for two years of experience, or a related Associate’s may substitute for one year.

**Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and a criminal history verification**

  • Service Oriented Architecture Development.
  • User Interface Design Concepts.
  • SOAP/REST Web Services.
  • Strong communication skills sufficient to clearly communicate highly technical concepts and introduce new technological tools or methods.
  • Ability to establish strong business partnerships.
