Job Description

MediaScience, a consumer neuroscience research lab, is seeking a software programmer / web developer to play a creative, design, solutions, and problem-solving role. Duties vary for this position and are based on the individual applicant’s skills and talents. All skill levels will be considered – from programming hobbyists and students to more experiences skilled programmers.

We want someone who loves to play with new technologies as much as we do but who can also learn intricacies well enough to develop programs to meet our needs.

Required Knowledge &Skills

• 0-1 year of programming experience using the following:
• HTML5
• CSS
• JavaScript (Vue, jQuery, Angular, React)
• Ability to use one of the above to interface with a REST API to build a single page application

Useful Skills (but not all are mandatory):

• Android (Java, Kotlin)
• Responsive Design
• Experience with an MVC framework (ruby w/ Rails, python w/ Django, php w/ Laravel, etc)
• Experience with a relational database. (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, etc)

Hours

This is a full-time position and hours are based on a 40-hour per week schedule. Starting salary for candidates with 0-1 year of professional experience is $30,000-$35,000. More experienced applicants will also be considered (salary commensurate).
