Junior Interior Designer (Retail/Hospitality Design Exp)

SUMMARY: The Junior Interior Designer will assist Senior Designers with a wide range of projects located across the nation, primarily focused on the renovation of existing spaces and some new build opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist Senior Designers with various project needs and administrative tasks.
Work with Senior Designers to develop FF&E (furniture, fixtures & equipment) proposals.
Coordinate with vendors and materials suppliers to obtain quotes.
Assist Senior Designers and Construction Project Managers with placing FF&E orders.
Follow up on order status and delivery coordination for FF&E items.
Order product samples; obtain pricing and lead-time information.
Organize and maintain the resource library and FF&E digital catalog.
Participate in monthly design meetings with senior management and project managers.
Collect, file, and archive architectural drawings, design drawings, FF&E and other project documentation.
Assist Senior Designers with the creation of SketchUp models and renderings.
Visit potential remodel job sites to establish due diligence and field documentation.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Junior Interior Designer possess a highly developed sense of customer service and interpersonal skills including high integrity, respect for all individuals (customers, vendors, and employees), solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.).

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in interior design or related field.
Interest and experience in retail and hospitality design.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, SketchUp.
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or Vectorworks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
High level of organization and attention to detail.
Adaptable to change, willingness to learn, and a desire to accept new challenges.
