Junior full stack PHP Developer

Mosaica is a Fintech startup base in NYC that has been around for about 2.5 years developing our unique international transaction management tech solution to small medium International businesses and online marketplaces sellers. We are currently experiencing rapid growth as our sales team and partners are bringing customers onboard faster and faster.

What we do:

Mosaica’s team has focused on creating specific technology for SMBs to organize foreign receivables and payables while better managing foreign exchange exposure. The technology is a simple, cross-border currency exchange and risk management system, which will include the following benefits:

Protecting profits and revenue

Adding transparency to worldwide business dealings

Automating and managing global payables and receivables

Additionally, we make this platform easy for our partners to integrate into their existing systems.

We are looking to build an entire team because of rapid growth. We’re looking for a Full-Stack developer who will take a key role on our team. The Full-Stack developer must have knowledge in all stages of software development: both front-end and back-end. You’ll be working alongside other engineers and developers, collaborating on the various layers of the infrastructure for our customer facing App/ Web.

Here are some things you could be doing in a typical day:

Developing new features on the core platform
Architecting and implementing a new micro service
API
White label integration solution
Working on the mobile app
Integrating with a banks/ currency providers & partners platform
Performing security hardening on the server environments
Building internal application monitoring and administration tools
Improving the UI to provide a better UX for users
Building data visualizations
Responding to API changes
Understand and implement security and data protection

Required Skills & Experience

REQUIRED: Advanced proficiency in PHP, Javascript, HTML5/CSS3 (e.g. React, ES6, etc)..
Experience with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS, MySQL database programming, and SAAS platforms.
Familiar with API Integrations to 3rd parties.
Exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
Must be comfortable with customer-facing roles including support and documentation.
Experience with 3rd party services in relations to email, payment processing, and shipping software
2+ years of experience in professional software engineering
Experience creating and consuming Web Services
Have worked with high profile companies and small startups
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Finance Industry Experience is a plus
Self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision
