Junior Engineer

Neuralink is developing ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers. We are building a team of multidisciplinary experts passionate about making a world-changing impact.
Neuralink is looking for a Junior Member of Technical Staff to assist in mechanical device assembly and general bench-top testing.
This is an opportunity for a junior engineer who has a proven track record of successful projects in professional or laboratory settings.
Only candidates with a work sample in the application will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble microelectronic devices and document as necessary.
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure the assembly is done within a tight schedule.
  • Daily data collection using various test setup.
  • Design and build new instruments for test setups and data analysis.
  • Aid in general lab upkeep – organizing, stocking, cleaning lab space and materials.

  • Resourceful, flexible & adaptable; no task is too big or too small.

Key qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, material science or chemistry.
  • 1 year of hands-on professional or lab experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering.
  • Ability to assemble microelectronic devices – this requires very careful handling, attention to detail, and open, honest communication when something doesn’t seem right.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work for timely completion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication.
  • Ability to easily understand and follow complex instructions.
  • General programming skills (Python, Matlab, C++).
