We are now accepting applications for a Junior Developer based out of our Calgary office.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Delivery Manager, the Junior Developer is responsible for contributing across the entire software development cycle. This opportunity is perfect for new graduates. Work experience is an asset, but is not required. Attitude, drive and enthusiasm are essential.

As our ideal candidate, you are familiar with .NET technologies and can work in the Microsoft Windows eco-system. You are committed to providing complete, productive and maintainable software solutions. You understand the importance of quality, the factors that influence it, and you deliver that quality yourself and as part of a team.

As a Junior Developer your professionalism and commitment are demonstrated through your enthusiasm for growing your skillset and working with others. You thrive on problem solving and learning new techniques.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Design and develop maintainable software solutions.

Follow development best practices within the organization.

Ownership of the design and development of system components.

Demonstrate a strong interest in the operations and success of the business we support.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Able to write simple programs using C# or VB.Net.

One year of programming work experience is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong personal drive especially in areas of quality, productivity and ownership.

Ability and desire to learn quickly.

Strong problem solving skills.

Experience with any database technology is desirable.

Experience with automated testing is desirable.
