Junior Analyst, Apex Credit Partners

Apex Credit Partners LLC (“Apex”) is an asset management platform focused on managing leveraged loans and CLOs with approximately $4.4 billion in assets under management. Apex is wholly-owned by Jefferies Finance LLC, a joint venture of Jefferies Group LLC and Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company formed in 2004.

Position:

Underwriting

• Analyze primary issuance and secondary market opportunities
• Conduct investment due diligence (attend bank meetings, review marketing materials, etc.)
• Assess key credit considerations
• Assist in the preparation of underwriting memos for formal credit committee approval

Portfolio Monitoring

• Assist in the management all investments within assigned industries
• Provide quarterly analysis of financial and operating performance
• Help shape buy/sell recommendations based on credit and relative value

Desired Experience/Skills:

• 1-3 years of research / banking experience ideally with some exposure to leverage loans and a desire to work in a buyside/CLO junior analyst role
• Demonstrated modeling, written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• Team player who is willing to be in a junior/support role working closely with the senior analysts
